Shake attended Chesapeake High School in Baltimore County, Maryland. Her mother encouraged her to start modeling at age thirteen. Christi not only did two years of modeling and fashion shows, but also worked for American Dream Girl, Merry-Go-Round, and Hawaiian Tropic prior to becoming the Playmate of the Month in the May, 2002 issue of "Playboy."
