Fred Dryer (born July 6, 1946) is an American actor. He is best known for playing Rick Hunter, a tough police detective in the TV series Hunter (1984 - 1991). He also was a defensive end for the New York Giants and the Los Angeles Rams, and was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame.
